Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Montgomery County economy in first half of 2017 with 147 reported sales totaling $19,379,635. Sales continue to be a driving force in Montgomery County economy.
Residential sales increased four percent from 142 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 147 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price decreased one percent from $117,750 in first half of the year 2016 to $117,000 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 19 percent from 90 days in first half of the year 2016 to 73 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Montgomery County increased three percent from June 2016 with 34 sales compared to 35 sales in June 2017. Pending sales increased from 31 in June 2016 to 34 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had increased from $113,500 in June 2016 to $117,500 in June 2017. New listings decreased 21 percent from 43 new listings in June 2016 to x34 new listings in June 2017.
