On February 10, joined by Tara Calahan King, illustrator of Enemy Pie, and LBAR members, a proclamation was presented by Colmon Eldridge, Executive Assistant to the Governor, naming March as Safe Passage Month. Safe Passage Month has been initiated to call awareness to the most common form of violence in our society, bullying.

The study shows that there is ample affordable housing for the average Fayette County resident and that those in key occupations such as teachers and nurses have an exceptional number of choices in their housing.

Amid concerns about the availability of affordable housing in Lexington, the University of Kentucky Center for Business and Economic Research released encouraging results from their “Housing Affordability” study. The study shows that there is ample affordable housing for residents of Fayette County.
