LBAR announces 21.3 million in year-to-date sales for Anderson County

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Anderson County economy in 2009 as of September 30 with 164 reported sales totaling $21,348,539. Sales continue to be a driving force in the Anderson County economy when considering the multiplier effect on the area of buyers and sellers who purchase appliances, carpet, flooring, landscaping, etc in response to their transaction needs.

Average days on market fell 14% for the year-to-date in Anderson County and 4% for September 2008 vs. September 2009. Sales dropped 34% during September 2009 vs. September 2008.
