Residential real estate sales
by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively
impacted the Bluegrass economy in 2009 as of September
30 with 5,815 reported sales totaling $900,807,893
Sales rose 7% in the Bluegrass during September 2009 vs. September 2008. Monthly
inventory fell 11% for the same time period, meaning that there are fewer
properties on the market.
LBAR President Gale Fulton
said, “Interest rates are very low; there is a good selection of homes on the
market and there is no reason not to be able find the home of your choice.”
