LBAR announces Judy Craft as 2009 REALTOR® of the Year and Janice Mueller as the Good Neighbor award

The
Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) announced Judy
Craft as the 2009 REALTOR® of the Year and Janice Mueller as the 2009
Good Neighbor award recipient at the association’s annual dinner on
January 14, 2010. Craft
has been a member of LBAR for 25 years, and in that time has tirelessly
served the association. She was the 2008 President of LBAR, and has
served on the Board of Directors, Past President’s Task Force,
Executive Committee and Cultural Diversity Task Force, just to name a
few. Craft is the principal broker of Milestone Realty Consultants. The REALTOR® of the Year award is
designed to give recognition to REALTORS® who have served not only
their profession, but also their communities. Craft has exhibited high
principles of integrity, adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and
furthered the principles of good real estate practice among brokers,
agents and the general public. Mueller has been a member of LBAR for 35 years, and in September 2001 helped found the Makenna
Foundation in memory of Makenna David who died of a rare lung disease
in 1998. The goal of the Foundation is to raise funds to help make the
Kentucky Children’s Hospital a benchmark of children’s hospitals by
providing the necessary equipment and assist in hospital expansion.
Since 2001, the Foundation has raised over $1.2 million for the
Kentucky Children’s Hospital. The principal broker of RE/MAX Creative, she served as LBAR President in 1990 and 2001. The Good Neighbor Award honors the ongoing volunteer efforts of REALTORS® who are making exceptional contributions to improve the quality of life in communities close to home and around the world. As
