LBAR continues book donations at Nicholas County Elementary School
Mar 9th, 10
On March 9, REALTORS® representing the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) visited Nicholas County Elementary School and presented a character-building children’s book.
Each school received Enemy Pie by award-winning author Derek Munson. In its second year, Melissa Poynter, the chair of the LBAR Community Education Task Force, has continued to lead the project. Nicholas County REALTOR® Donna Gail Mattox attended the presentation and read the story to a class of 2nd graders. Her daughter, Olivia Mattox, also attended and helped show the illustrations to the class. Donna is a REALTOR® with Mark Mattox Real Estate.
This contribution to Nicholas County is part of a larger donation to the elementary schools in the Bluegrass region—LBAR will be presenting the book to 110 elementary schools in the region. The project is part of LBAR’s goal to become involved with the area’s school systems in innovative ways that will positively shape the future of our community’s children.
As the region’s leading advocate for homeownership, Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® understands the value and joy of owning a home. LBAR represents more than 2,300 REALTORS® located in Anderson, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Montgomery, Nicholas, Powell, Scott and Woodford Counties.
