On May 2nd, REALTORS® representing the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) visited Scott County elementary schools to present each school with books for their libraries.
Each school received a set of 11 titles by award-winning author Max Lucado. LBAR Board Member Barb Curtis read A Hat for Ivan by Lucado to children at Garth Elementary. LBAR REALTOR® members Judy Giannasio, Kim Northington, Frank Mason, Katy Prather, Angela Sams and Diane Williams participated in the presentation and wore hats representing different career choices to bring the story in A Hat for Ivan to life.
This contribution to the Scott County elementary schools is part of a larger donation to the elementary schools in the Bluegrass region—LBAR will be giving more than 1,000 books to 99 elementary schools in the area. This LBAR project is part of a goal to become involved with the school systems in innovative ways that will positively shape the future of our community’s children.
As the region’s leading advocate for homeownership, Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® understands the value and joy of owning a home. LBAR represents more than 2,300 REALTORS® located in Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
