LBAR continues book presentations to area elementary schools in Franklin County

On February 1st and 2nd, REALTORS® representing the Lexington-Bluegrass
Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) visited several elementary schools in Franklin
County including Westridge, Capital Day, Peaks Mill, Frankfort Christian Academy,
Bridgeport, Elkhorn and Collins Lane and presented a character-building children’s book.
Each school received How the Moon Regained her Shape by award-winning
author Janet Ruth Heller. In its third year, Melissa Poynter, the chair of the LBAR
Community Education Task Force, has continued to lead this project. Franklin County
REALTORS® in attendance were, Mike Barnes, Don Noble and Kyra Quarles.
This contribution to Franklin County is the first part of a larger donation to the
public and private elementary schools in the Bluegrass region —LBAR will be presenting
the book to 110 elementary schools in the region. The project is part of LBAR’s goal to
become involved with the area’s school systems in innovative ways that will positively
shape the future of our community’s children.
