LBAR continues book donations to elementary schools in Clark County
Apr 15th, 08
On April 15, REALTORS® representing the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) visited Providence and Fannie Bush Elementary and presented each school with books for their libraries.
Each school received a set of 11 titles by award-winning author Max Lucado. LBAR Board Member Kathy Pendleton read A Hat for Ivan by Lucado to children at each school. Bobbi Baber, Diane Cates, Shari Crisp, Connie Crowe, Anne Curtis, Marcy Goff, Karyn Keely, Christine McDonald, Donna Moore, and Lisa Wolf participated in the presentation and wore hats representing different career choices to bring the story in A Hat for Ivan to life.
This contribution to Providence and Fannie Bush Elementary is part of a larger donation to the elementary schools in the Bluegrass region—LBAR will be giving more than 1,000 books to 99 elementary schools in the area. The project is part of a goal of LBAR to become involved with the school systems in innovative ways that will positively shape the future of our community’s children.
As the region’s leading advocate for homeownership, Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® understands the value and joy of owning a home.
