Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Fayette County economy in first half of 2017 with 2,682 reported sales totaling $616,177,622. Sales continue to be a driving force in Fayette County economy.
Residential sales had no percentage of change from 2,670 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 2,682 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased eight percent from $173,000 in first half of the year 2016 to $186,250 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 14 percent from 44 days in first half of the year 2016 to 38 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Fayette County decreased 12 percent from June 2016 with 626 sales compared to 552 sales in June 2017. Pending sales decreased from 566 in June 2016 to 529 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had increased from $184,009 in June 2016 to $205,000 in June 2017. New listings increased one percent from 741 new listings in June 2016 to 749 new listings in June 2017.
