Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Rowan County economy in first half of 2017 with 72 reported sales totaling $10,675,650. Sales continue to be a driving force in Rowan County economy.
Residential sales increased 13 percent from 64 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 72 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased three percent from $126,500 in first half of the year 2016 to $130,200 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 13 percent from 83 days in first half of the year 2016 to 72 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Rowan County decreased 13 percent from June 2016 with 64 sales compared to 72 sales in June 2017. Pending sales decreased from 15 in June 2016 to 7 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had increased from $123,200 in June 2016 to $145,000 in June 2017. New listings increased 35 percent from 17 new listings in June 2016 to 23 new listings in June 2017.
