Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Scott County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 931 reported sales totaling $200,148,922. Sales continue to be a driving force in Scott County economy.
Residential sales increased nine percent from 856 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 931 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price increased four percent from $181,375 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $188,700 in third quarter of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased from 58 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 43 days in third quarter of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Scott County increased 12 percent from September 2016 with 95 sales compared to 106 sales in September 2017. Pending sales decreased from 101 in September 2016 to 98 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $188,000 in September 2016 to $184,509 in September 2017. New listings decreased 27 percent from 132 new listings in September 2016 to 96 new listings in September 2017.
