Residential real estate sales by members of the
Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Montgomery County economy in third
quarter of 2017 with 236 reported sales totaling $31,769,806. Sales continue to
be a driving force in Montgomery County
economy.
Residential sales increased
eight percent from 219 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 236
sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price increased
four percent from $117,500 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $122,400 in third
quarter of the year in 2017. The average
days on the market decreased 12 percent from 77 days in third quarter of the
year 2016 to 68 days in third quarter of the year 2017.
Residential sales
in Montgomery County increased 77
percent from September 2016 with 22 sales compared to 39 sales in September
2017. Pending sales had no percentage of change from 21 in September 2016 to 21
pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had increased from
$129,500 in September 2016 to $134,900 in September 2017. New listings increased
19 percent from 26 new listings in September 2016 to 31 new listings in September
2017.
