Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Jessamine County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 576 reported sales totaling $129,682,584. Sales continue to be a driving force in Jessamine County economy.
Residential sales increased two percent from 563 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 576 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price increased two percent from $162,000 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $165,000 in third quarter of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 33 percent from 67 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 45 days in third quarter of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Jessamine County decreased 18 percent from September 2016 with 67 sales compared to 55 sales in September 2017. Pending sales increased from 53 in September 2016 to 70 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had increased from $153,000 in September 2016 to $154,000 in September 2017. New listings increased 25 percent from 72 new listings in September 2016 to 90 new listings in September 2017.
