LBAR announces $13.6 million in Harrison County real estate sales for 3rd quarter of 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Harrison County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 116 reported sales totaling $13,570,372. Sales continue to be a driving force in Harrison County economy.

Residential sales increased four percent from 112 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 116 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price decreased three percent from $111,000 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $107,500 in third quarter of the year in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased 21 percent from 85 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 67 days in third quarter of the year 2017. 

Residential sales in Harrison County decreased seven percent from September 2016 with 14 sales compared to 13 sales in September 2017. Pending sales increased from 13 in September 2016 to 15 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had increased from $135,500 in September 2016 to $161,000 in September 2017. New listings decreased five percent from 19 new listings in September 2016 to 18 new listings in September 2017.
