Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Franklin County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 464 reported sales totaling $66,187,190. Sales continue to be a driving force in Franklin County economy.
Residential sales increased one percent from 459 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 464 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price decreased two percent from $130,500 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $128,250 in third quarter of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 18 percent from 95 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 78 days in third quarter of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Franklin County decreased nine percent from September 2016 with 53 sales compared to 48 sales in September 2017. Pending sales decreased from 59 in September 2016 to 44 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $134,900 in September 2016 to $120,500 in September 2017. New listings decreased seven percent from 76 new listings in September 2016 to 71 new listings in September 2017.
