LBAR announces $20.3 million in Bourbon County real estate sales for 3rd quarter of 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Bourbon County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 123 reported sales totaling $20,325,818. Sales continue to be a driving force in Bourbon County economy.

Residential sales increased two percent from 121 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 123 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price increased 12 percent from $125,000 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $140,000 in third quarter of the year in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased nine percent from 70 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 64 days in third quarter of the year 2017. 

Residential sales in Bourbon County increased 15 percent from September 2016 with 13 sales compared to 15 sales in September 2017. Pending sales increased from 12 in September 2016 to 20 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had increased from $115,000 in September 2016 to $134,900 in September 2017. New listings increased four percent from 28 new listings in September 2016 to 29 new listings in September 2017.
