Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Anderson County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 228 reported sales totaling $36,846,998. Sales continue to be a driving force in Anderson County economy.
Residential sales decreased three percent from 236 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 228 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price increased 11 percent from $133,000 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $147,750 in third quarter of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 34 percent from 95 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 63 days in third quarter of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Anderson County decreased 29 percent from September 2016 with 28 sales compared to 20 sales in September 2017. Pending sales decreased from 44 in September 2016 to 26 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had increased from $139,325 in September 2016 to $142,450 in September 2017. New listings decreased 13 percent from 39 new listings in September 2016 to 34 new listings in September 2017.
