LBAR announces $19.9 million in Rowan County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Rowan County economy in 2017 with 136 reported sales totaling $19,864,349. Sales continue to be a driving force in Rowan County economy.

Residential sales decreased one percent from 138 sales reported in 2016 to 136 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased two percent from $130,000 in 2016 to $132,700 in 2017.  The average days on the market increased four percent from 84 days in 2016 to 87 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Rowan County decreased 53 percent from December 2016 with 17 sales compared to 8 sales in December 2017. Pending sales had no percentage of change in December 2016 to December 201 with 4 pending listings. The median sales price increased from $100,000 in December 2016 to $107,500 in December 2017. New listings decreased eight percent from 12 new listings in December 2016 to 11 new listings in December 2017.
