LBAR announces $60.7 million in Laurel County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Laurel County economy in 2017 with 414 reported sales totaling $60,676,325. Sales continue to be a driving force in Laurel County economy.

Residential sales decreased nine percent from 454 sales reported in 2016 to 414 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased five percent from $124,000 in 2016 to $129,950 in 2017.  The average days on the market increased eight percent from 85 days in 2016 to 92 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Laurel County increased four percent from December 2016 with 27 sales compared to 28 sales in December 2017. Pending sales increased from 16 in December 2016 to 20 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $108,000 in December 2016 to $122,000 in December 2017. New listings decreased 25 percent from 36 new listings in December 2016 to 27 new listings in December 2017.
