LBAR announces $174.8 million in Jessamine County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Jessamine County economy in 2017 with 761 reported sales totaling $174,782,075. Sales continue to be a driving force in Jessamine County economy.

Residential sales increased seven percent from 714 sales reported in 2016 to 761 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased five percent from $158,700 in 2016 to $166,000 in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased 30 percent from 63 days in 2016 to 44 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Jessamine County increased two percent from December 2016 with 45 sales compared to 46 sales in December 2017. Pending sales decreased from 43 in December 2016 to 41 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $131,700 in December 2016 to $206,450 in December 2017. New listings decreased six percent from 52 new listings in December 2016 to 49 new listings in December 2017.
