Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Franklin County economy in 2017 with 622 reported sales totaling $88,035,081. Sales continue to be a driving force in Franklin County economy.
Residential sales made no percentage change from 623 sales reported in 2016 to 622 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price decreased one percent from $130,000 in 2016 to $129,000 in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 20 percent from 93 days in 2016 to 74 days in 2017.
Residential sales in Franklin County decreased five percent from December 2016 with 62 sales compared to 59 sales in December 2017. Pending sales had no percentage change from 35 in December 2016 to 35 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $119,450 in December 2016 to $128,900 in December 2017. New listings increased 46 percent from 26 new listings in December 2016 to 38 new listings in December 2017.
