LBAR announces $81.9 million in Clark County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Clark County economy in 2017 with 518 reported sales totaling $81,895,475. Sales continue to be a driving force in Clark County economy.

Residential sales increased 14 percent from 456 sales reported in 2016 to 518 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased eight percent from $129,953 in 2016 to $139,900 in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased 33 percent from 90 days in 2016 to 60 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Clark County increased three percent from December 2016 with 35 sales compared to 36 sales in December 2017. Pending sales decreased from 40 in December 2016 to 14 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $110,000 in December 2016 to $148,950 in December 2017. New listings decreased 57 percent from 46 new listings in December 2016 to 20 new listings in December 2017.
