LBAR announces $26.98 million in Bourbon County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Bourbon County economy in 2017 with 166 reported sales totaling $26,937,616. Sales continue to be a driving force in Bourbon County economy.

Residential sales increased two percent from 162 sales reported in 2016 to 166 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased two percent from $127,250 in 2016 to $130,000 in 2017.  The average days on the market had no percentage of change with 67 days in 2016 and 2017. 

Residential sales in Bourbon County decreased 44 percent with 18 sales in December 2016 compared to 10 sales in December 2017. Pending sales had no percentage of change with 9 listings in December 2016 and December 2017. The median sales price decreased from $118,750 in December 2016 to $80,500 in December 2017. New listings decreased 44 percent from 25 new listings in December 2016 to 14 new listings in December 2017.
