LBAR announces $50.1 million in Anderson County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Anderson County economy in 2017 with 313 reported sales totaling $50,135,268. Sales continue to be a driving force in Anderson County economy.

Residential sales decreased two percent from 319 sales reported in 2016 to 313 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased ten percent from $134,000 in 2016 to $147,000 in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased 30 percent from 84 days in 2016 to 59 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Anderson County decreased six percent from December 2016 with 50 sales compared to 47 sales in December 2017. Pending sales decreased from 24 in December 2016 to 22 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $132,500 in December 2016 to $157,750 in December 2017. New listings decreased 20 percent from 20 new listings in December 2016 to 16 new listings in December 2017.
