Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Franklin County economy in first quarter 2018 with 117 reported sales totaling $18,601,981. Sales continue to be a driving force in Franklin County economy.
Residential sales decreased one percent from 118 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 117 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased eight percent from $124,500 in first quarter 2017 to $135,000 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 18 percent from 95 days in first quarter 2017 to 78 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales in Franklin County increased 20 percent from March 2017 with 45 sales compared to 54 sales in March 2018. Pending sales decreased from 82 in March 2017 to 66 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had increased from $120,000 in March 2017 to $147,500 in March 2018. New listings decreased 26 percent from 90 new listings in March 2017 to 67 new listings in March 2018.
