Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Harrison County economy in first quarter 2018 with 41 reported sales totaling $5,852,173. Sales continue to be a driving force in Harrison County economy.
Residential sales increased 21 percent from 34 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 41 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased 31 percent from $104,125 in first quarter 2017 to $136,500 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 13 percent from 84 days in first quarter 2017 to 73 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales in Harrison County decreased eight percent from March 2017 with 12 sales compared to 11 sales in March 2018. Pending sales decreased from 18 in March 2017 to 10 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had increased from $111,500 in March 2017 to $129,750 in March 2018. New listings decreased 45 percent from 20 new listings in March 2017 to 11 new listings in March 2018.
