Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Jessamine County economy in first quarter 2018 with 132 reported sales totaling $32,265,600. Sales continue to be a driving force in Jessamine County economy.
Residential sales increased two percent from 129 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 132 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased 13 percent from $161,900 in first quarter 2017 to $183,147 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market decreased seven percent from 57 days in first quarter 2017 to 53 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales in Jessamine County decreased 15 percent from March 2017 with 53 sales compared to 45 sales in March 2018. Pending sales decreased from 85 in March 2017 to 71 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had increased from $150,000 in March 2017 to $213,000 in March 2018. New listings decreased 28 percent from 99 new listings in March 2017 to 71 new listings in March 2018.
