LBAR announces $7.4 million in Montgomery County real estate sales in first quarter 2018

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Montgomery County economy in first quarter 2018 with 56 reported sales totaling $7,427,655. Sales continue to be a driving force in Montgomery County economy.

Residential sales decreased seven percent from 60 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 56 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased five percent from $120,000 in first quarter 2017 to $125,750 in first quarter in 2018.  The average days on the market decreased 10 percent from 84 days in first quarter 2017 to 76 days in first quarter 2018. 

Residential sales in Montgomery County increased 23 percent from March 2017 with 26 sales compared to 32 sales in March 2018. Pending sales had no percentage of change with 37 pendings in March 2017 and March 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $169,950 in March 2017 to $125,750 in March 2018. New listings decreased 17 percent from 47 new listings in March 2017 to 39 new listings in March 2018.
