Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Scott County economy in first quarter 2018 with 230 reported sales totaling $49,902,013. Sales continue to be a driving force in Scott County economy.
Residential sales had no percentage of change with 230 sales reported in first quarter 2017 and first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased nine percent from $180,725 in first quarter 2017 to $196,750 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market increased 31 percent from 51 days in first quarter 2017 to 67 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales in Scott County increased three percent from March 2017 with 77 sales compared to 79 sales in March 2018. Pending sales decreased from 136 in March 2017 to 112 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $216,500 in March 2017 to $186,500 in March 2018. New listings decreased 22 percent from 167 new listings in March 2017 to 130 new listings in March 2018.
