Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Anderson County economy in first half of 2018 with 136 reported sales totaling $23,018,511. Sales continue to be a driving force in Anderson County economy.
Residential sales decreased four percent from 141 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 136 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased one percent from $149,450 in first half of the year 2017 to $150,250 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 18 percent from 76 days in first half of the year 2017 to 62 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Anderson County decreased 24 percent from June 2017 with 33 sales compared to 25 sales in June 2018. Pending sales decreased from 41 in June 2017 to 30 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $158,900 in June 2017 to $130,000 in June 2018. New listings decreased 20 percent from 51 new listings in June 2017 to 41 new listings in June 2018.
