Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Fayette County economy in first half of 2018 with 2,384 reported sales totaling $580,373,880. Sales continue to be a driving force in Fayette County economy.
Residential sales decreased 11 percent from 2,682 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 2,384 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased nine percent from $186,250 in first half of the year 2017 to $203,000 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market decreased three percent from 38 days in first half of the year 2017 to 37 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Fayette County decreased one percent from June 2017 with 552 sales compared to 549 sales in June 2018. Pending sales decreased from 529 in June 2017 to 466 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had increased from $205,000 in June 2017 to $215,400 in June 2018. New listings decreased 18 percent from 749 new listings in June 2017 to 617 new listings in June 2018.
