Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Franklin County economy in first half of 2018 with 273 reported sales totaling $40,604,982. Sales continue to be a driving force in Franklin County economy.
Residential sales decreased nine percent from 301 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 273 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased two percent from $127,000 in first half of the year 2017 to $129,000 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 27 percent from 90 days in first half of the year 2017 to 66 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Franklin County decreased 26 percent from June 2017 with 65 sales compared to 48 sales in June 2018. Pending sales decreased from 67 in June 2017 to 61 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $129,900 in June 2017 to $129,250 in June 2018. New listings increased 14 percent from 63 new listings in June 2017 to 72 new listings in June 2018.
