Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Montgomery County economy in first half of 2018 with 160 reported sales totaling $20,553,515. Sales continue to be a driving force in Montgomery County economy.
Residential sales increased nine percent from 147 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 160 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased one percent from $117,000 in first half of the year 2017 to $118,000 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 12 percent from 73 days in first half of the year 2017 to 64 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Montgomery County increased 14 percent from June 2017 with 35 sales compared to 40 sales in June 2018. Pending sales increased from 34 in June 2017 to 49 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $117,500 in June 2017 to $91,450 in June 2018. New listings increased 53 percent from 34 new listings in June 2017 to 52 new listings in June 2018.
