The Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) presented its highest awards for 2019 at the recent Installation and Member Recognition Luncheon – REALTOR® of the Year, Good Neighbor and Distinguished Service – honoring outstanding REALTORS® within the Association.

The Good Neighbor Award was presented to Kate Imhoff, an agent with Rector Hayden, REALTORS® and member of LBAR since 2014. Over the past seven years, Imhoff has served as the volunteer coordinator for the Christ Community Cupboard. In her role, she has taken on many responsibilities to assist a wide range of low-income clients, including veterans, refugees, senior adults, single mothers and more. Some of her tasks include strategic planning, ordering and stocking supplies, fundraising and community outreach and recruiting and training more than 40 volunteers. Imhoff uses her strong ties with over 40 other community agencies like the local school system, rescue centers, community action council centers, the Salvation Army and the Nest to cover basic needs of those seeking help. Her outreach and solicitation of supplies from donors throughout the community is unparalleled as the Cupboard provides everything from clothes and shoes to household items, cleaning supplies, grooming products and toiletries. In 2019, it’s reported that Imhoff, through her volunteer role, helped provide assistance to more than 6,000 adults and children in the local community.

In addition, Kae Schennberg, broker/owner of Schennberg Realty, and Jason Scolf, an agent with Milestone Realty Consultants, took home Distinguish Service Awards, given on behalf of the LBAR president to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond for the Association and industry. Schennberg was instrumental in facilitating the merger between the former Madison County Board of REALTORS® and LBAR, bringing valuable products and services to dozens of agents across four counties: Estill, Lee, Madison and Owsley. Scolf was, and continues to be, a driving force with the Young Professionals Network (YPN) at LBAR, taking the reins to create and volunteer at dozens of community events throughout the year while also taking on a primary role to establish a YPN group at the state level.
