Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Jessamine County economy in first quarter 2017 with 129 reported sales totaling $27,250,288. Sales continue to be a driving force in Jessamine County economy.
Residential sales had no percentage of change with 129 sales reported in first quarter 2016 and first quarter 2017. The median sales price increased eight percent from $150,000 in first quarter 2016 to $161,900 in first quarter in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 39 percent from 93 days in first quarter 2016 to 57 days in first quarter 2017.
Residential sales in Jessamine County decreased nine percent from March 2016 with 58 sales compared to 53 sales in March 2017. Pending sales increased from 82 in March 2016 to 85 pending sales reported in March 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $168,000 in March 2016 to $150,000 in March 2017. New listings had no percentage of change with 99 new listings in March 2016 and March 2017.
