Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Rowan County economy in first quarter 2017 with 26 reported sales totaling $3,271,750. Sales continue to be a driving force in Rowan County economy.
Residential sales had no percentage of change with 26 sales in first quarter 2016 and first quarter 2017. The median sales price decreased 25 percent from $138,250 in first quarter 2016 to $103,500 in first quarter in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 23 percent from 78 days in first quarter 2016 to 60 days in first quarter 2017.
Residential sales in Rowan County decreased 20 percent from March 2016 with 10 sales compared to 8 sales in March 2017. Pending sales decreased from 13 in March 2016 to 11 pending sales reported in March 2017. The median sales price had increased from $148,950 in March 2016 to $152,500 in March 2017. New listings decreased 39 percent from 23 new listings in March 2016 to 14 new listings in March 2017.
